In this project, our task is to generate a set of infographics based on a person's week-long recording. This allows us to analyze the individual's behavior and emotions over that week and come up with an interesting topic.
Come up with the Topic
From my partner's journal, I noticed she took a lot of notes on her feelings at the time, her location, and the sounds that she heard.
Designing Infographic
For the first infographic, I used data from the sound she recorded and her location. The colored circle on the graph corresponds to a specific location where she captured these sounds, while the size of each circle signifies the variety and intensity of the recorded auditory experiences
The graphs show how she focuses more on sounds when she is indoors、and how she notices and encounters more Man-created sounds throughout her week.
For the second infographic, I use the data from her mood and the sounds she recorded. The ups and downs in these graphs show how her mood changes during the day. The horizontal line at the bottom represents times when she feels less happy, and the line at the top shows when she's in a good mood. These graphs help us see how her feelings change throughout the week. Each dot on the graph tells us how she felt at a specific time, and it helps us understand what makes her feel happy or not so happy during the week.
By combining the Mood curve with the Sound curve shows how her emotions can be influenced by the sounds around her. It highlights the connection between her mood fluctuations and the ambient sounds she experiences.
